1.1. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website API.Auto-Data.net, as well as access to and use of the services provided through it, including the One-Call API and REST API (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Services”).
1.2. By accessing the website or using any of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms, you are not authorized to use the Services.
1.3. Automotive Data Ltd. reserves the right to amend and supplement these Terms and Conditions at any time. Amendments shall take effect upon their publication on the website API.Auto-Data.net, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
1.4. You are responsible for regularly reviewing the current version of the Terms and Conditions. Continuing to use the Services after amendments come into force constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
1.5. These Terms and Conditions constitute a binding agreement between you (as an individual or legal entity using the Services) and Automotive Data Ltd., a company registered under the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.
2.1. The technical automotive data provided through API.Auto-Data.net is not subject to copyright protection as individual data. However, the collection, systematization, and organization of the data in a database constitute intellectual property under applicable law. All rights in the database belong to Automotive Data Ltd.
2.2. Images provided through the Services include:
Photographs created by Automotive Data Ltd., over which the company holds full copyright;
Images provided under a Creative Commons license that allows commercial use. The use of such images is permitted only in compliance with the relevant license terms, including attribution where required.
2.3. Clients receive a limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive right to use the provided data and images solely for the purposes described in Section 3 of these Terms and in accordance with the type of service chosen (One-Call API or REST API).
2.4. It is prohibited to:
Resell or redistribute the database or any part of it;
Modify images in a way that infringes third-party rights (such as removing or altering logos and trademarks included in the images);
Use the data and images outside the scope of the license granted.
3.1. Automotive websites and car-related applications
(Public access to the data)
The data may be used in
websites and mobile applications accessible to an unrestricted
audience, providing automotive information and vehicle
specifications.
3.2. Online car parts shops (Public access to the
data)
The data may be integrated into online car parts
shops accessible to an unrestricted audience, to support the search
and supply of parts by brand, model, and technical parameters.
3.3. Automotive media (online and offline – Public
access to the data)
The data may be used in automotive
media – online platforms or print editions – accessible to an
unrestricted audience and publishing articles, reviews, and analyses.
3.4. Car insurance purposes (Public access to the
data)
The data may be used for insurance purposes in
publicly accessible systems, such as calculators or online services
available to an unrestricted audience.
3.5. Car insurance purposes (NO Public access to the
data)
The data may be used for insurance purposes in
internal systems with restricted access, intended solely for
employees of the insurance company.
3.6. Car dealers (Public access to the data)
The
data may be used in online catalogs or websites of car dealerships
accessible to an unrestricted audience, to present available vehicles
and their specifications.
3.7. Car dealers (NO Public access to the data)
The
data may be used in internal dealership systems with restricted
access for employees, for managing inventory, analysis, and internal
reporting.
3.8. Fleet management companies (Public access to part of
the data)
The data may be used by fleet management
companies, where only a part of the information, agreed in advance
with Automotive Data Ltd., is made publicly
available. The remaining information is for internal use only.
3.9. Other in-house / In-company use (NO Public access to
the data)
The data may be used in internal corporate
systems accessible only to company employees, for analysis,
reporting, and operational activities.
3.10. Other – Public access to the data (please describe
in notes)
The data may be used for other purposes
involving public access by an unrestricted audience, provided these
purposes are described in advance and approved by Automotive
Data Ltd.
3.11. Academic purposes (school / college / university
projects and papers – NO Public access to the data)
The
data may be used for academic purposes within schools, colleges, and
universities, as well as by private organizations with educational or
research orientation. Usage is limited to educational and research
projects, developments, and analyses. Access is strictly limited to
teachers, students, researchers, and authorized staff and clients of
the respective organization. Public disclosure or provision of the
data to an unrestricted audience is not allowed.
4.1. The website API.Auto-Data.net provides information about the Services, their documentation, and the ability to place orders for access to the API services.
4.2. The user undertakes to use the website in good faith, in compliance with applicable law, these Terms and Conditions, and established internet ethics.
4.3. Any automated extraction of information from the website (“web scraping,” “data mining,” or similar techniques) is prohibited without the prior written consent of Automotive Data Ltd.
4.4. The website may contain links to external websites or resources. These links are provided solely for user convenience. Automotive Data Ltd. bears no responsibility for the content, accuracy, legality, or security of such external sites, nor for any damages arising from their use.
4.5. Automotive Data Ltd. may at any time modify, restrict, or discontinue certain website functionalities without liability.
5.1.1. The One-Call API provides the option to download data and images from the database of Automotive Data Ltd. in a single request.
5.1.2. The client must download the data and store it locally within their infrastructure.
5.1.3. Data obtained via the One-Call API may not be used through direct real-time queries to the servers of Automotive Data Ltd. Use is permitted only through the locally stored copy.
5.1.4. The client may integrate the locally stored data into their systems, applications, or websites in accordance with the permitted purpose of use under Section 3 of these Terms.
5.1.5. Images provided via the One-Call API must also be stored locally by the client and may only be used within the permitted purposes.
5.1.6. Data and images obtained via the One-Call API may continue to be stored and used by the client after the subscription expires, but no updates or new data will be provided.
5.1.7. Resale, public redistribution, or granting full or partial access to the original files to third parties outside the agreed purpose of use is prohibited.
5.2.1. The REST API provides real-time access to the data and images of Automotive Data Ltd. via requests to the company’s servers.
5.2.2. The client must use the provided data solely through direct REST API queries. Permanent local storage of the data is not permitted.
5.2.3. Temporary caching of data and images within the client’s infrastructure is allowed only to improve performance and reduce the number of queries. Temporary caching must be for a reasonable period and cannot serve as a substitute for permanent storage.
5.2.4. Data and images accessed through the REST API may be used in the client’s systems, applications, or websites in accordance with the declared purpose of use under Section 3 of these Terms.
5.2.5. Upon termination or expiration of the REST API subscription, the client must immediately cease all use of the service and delete any temporarily cached data and images.
5.2.6. Permanent local storage, resale, public redistribution, or granting full or partial access to the data and images to third parties outside the agreed purpose of use is prohibited.
5.3.1. Images provided via the One-Call API or REST API are part of the Services of Automotive Data Ltd. and are subject to specific rules of use.
5.3.2. For every image included in API responses, a mandatory credit line (license information) is provided. The client must display this credit line, unaltered, whenever the image is used publicly.
5.3.3. Images may contain trademarks, logos, or other intellectual property objects belonging to third parties (e.g., automotive manufacturers). The client may not use the images in any way that would infringe or compromise such third-party rights.
5.3.4. Removing, altering, or hiding the credit line, as well as manipulating the images in a way that may result in infringement of copyrights or trademark rights, is prohibited.
6.1. The client may not modify the data or images in a way that misleads users or presents false information.
6.2. The use of the data and images to build or maintain competing databases, services, or products that duplicate or compete with the activity of Automotive Data Ltd. is prohibited.
6.3. The data and images may not be resold, redistributed, or provided to third parties outside the agreed purpose of use.
6.4. The Services, data, and images may not be used for illegal purposes or in violation of applicable law.
6.5. The client may not remove, alter, or bypass technical protections, license conditions, or credit lines provided by Automotive Data Ltd.
7.1.1. The Services, data, and images provided via API.Auto-Data.net are offered “as is,” without any warranties, express or implied.
7.1.2. Automotive Data Ltd. does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness of the data and images for any particular purpose.
7.1.3. Automotive Data Ltd. shall not be liable for:
direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
lost profits or loss of data;
interruptions or technical issues related to service access;
inaccuracies or omissions in the information provided.
7.2.1. The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Automotive Data Ltd., its employees, partners, and suppliers from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or losses arising from:
improper use of the Services, data, or images;
breach of these Terms and Conditions;
infringement of third-party rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
7.2.2. The indemnification obligation also includes reimbursement of all reasonable legal fees and court costs incurred in connection with the defense against such claims.
8.1. Automotive Data Ltd. may at any time terminate or restrict a client’s access to the Services in case of violation of these Terms and Conditions, delayed or unpaid obligations, or other objective grounds.
8.2. Upon termination of a One-Call API subscription, the client retains the right to use already downloaded and locally stored data and images, but no updates or new data will be provided.
8.3. Upon termination of a REST API subscription, the client must immediately cease all access to the Service and delete any temporarily cached data and images obtained through it.
8.4. Termination of access to the Services does not release the client from the obligation to comply with the restrictions and prohibitions set out in these Terms and Conditions, which remain applicable even after termination.
9.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria and the applicable law of the European Union.
9.2. All disputes arising in connection with the interpretation, validity, or execution of these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved by mutual agreement between the parties.
9.3. If no agreement can be reached, the competent court of the Republic of Bulgaria shall have jurisdiction.
Automotive Data Ltd. strives to ensure continuous and reliable access to the Services and related website resources. However, uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed.
The Services may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, system updates, or technical improvements. Where reasonably possible, prior notice will be posted on the website or sent via email.
Access may be interrupted or limited due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Automotive Data Ltd., including (but not limited to) failures of internet providers, hosting infrastructure, or third-party network operators.
Automotive Data Ltd. shall not be liable for temporary service interruptions, delays, or data access limitations resulting from maintenance, upgrades, or external technical failures.
All reasonable efforts are made to minimize downtime and restore service availability as soon as possible in the event of a disruption.
Technical support is available via email, telephone, and online chat on the official website of Automotive Data Ltd., during working days in the Republic of Bulgaria, from 10:00 to 16:00 local time (EET/EEST).
Automotive Data Ltd. shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such failure or delay results from events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Such events include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, acts of government or regulatory authorities, strikes, network failures, power outages, or other similar extraordinary circumstances.
In the event of a force majeure situation, the affected party shall notify the other party as soon as reasonably possible and shall take all reasonable steps to mitigate the impact.
Performance of the affected obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event and shall resume as soon as it is reasonably possible to do so.
Automotive Data Ltd. reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Services, including the structure of the API, data formats, endpoints, or pricing models, at any time and without prior notice.
Any such changes will be published on the official website api.auto-data.net or communicated via email, and shall take effect upon publication, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Continued use of the Services after the publication of such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms and Services.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
