During the first days of the 2018 Mondial Paris Motor Show people were able to witness the world premieres of some of the most anticipated vehicles in the automotive industry, as well as the "birth" of some new car companies.
Bugatti Divo made its début on the second day of the Mondial Paris Motor Show. The exotic coupé racer captivated the public with its gentle, yet masculine lines. The intricate exterior and interior features, combines with designer aerodynamic elements make the Divo the perfect car for track adventures. A powerful 8.0 W16 (1500 hp) engine lies hidden under the hood, just waiting to be awaken. The combination between top speed of 380 km/h and, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and an automatic 7-speed DSG transmission is what turns the Divo into a beast.
Seat stole the show during the very first day of the 2018 Paris Motor Show with the world première of its powerful SUV - Tarraco. Although the full technical data is yet to be unveiled, Seat expressed their interest into integrating the plug-in technology into the Tarraco range at some point in the future. One thing is, however, sure - the Tarraco has one of the biggest storage spaces available in the SUV segment (1775 l with folded seats). As for the design - nice, sleek exterior lines and quite spacious and comfortable cabin.
Toyota used Paris Motor Show to showcase the fifth generation of RAV4. The base model comes with a petrol 2.5 l (222 hp) engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The crossover is built on the Toyota TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform - used for Camry, C-HR and Prius model range. What's more - the company plans to add a hybrid version the RAV4 line - a hybrid with a 2.5 l (195 hp) engine.
Few new brands made their official début at the show - VinFast, Aixam and GAC. With this step, the Asian manufacturers plan to enter the competitive European car market. With a wide range of displayed vehicles from different car segments, VinFast, Aixam and GAC are names which are yet to become more and more popular.
One local manufacturer, Peugeot, took the opportunity to unveil their new line of hybrid engines to the wide public: the 3008 and 508 range.
Mercedes-Benz and BMW Group also debuted their new cars.
